Big Bend

Eddie knew the most amazing people. I know I can gush a bit about the wonderful people who came into my life through him, but, truly, they are some of the most interesting folks you'll ever find.

There is just such a couple living in the Big Bend area of Texas. A couple who spends months & months every year riding around the country. When it starts to get cold, they return to Big Bend and welcome guests to their Adobe. They have a guest registry - it doubles as a refrigerator.

A friend of ours from Niobrara was somewhere in the Midwest a few years back when she saw two motorcyclists "dressed like Eddie & his friends". She approached them and asked if they happened to know Eddie James. Yep, they sure did. These two get around.

John Ryan went out to Big Bend for a visit and of course, he took Eddie with him. They made a stop in Luckenbach.

Once at the Adobe, they found a nice place in the garden, next to Dog Blue.

The guest registry was signed.

The lady in red decided Eddie should join her on the quest to ride 1 million miles on her BMW. He had a million miles in the saddle but on more bikes than can be counted.

















And finally they took him to a place he knew well, the Contrabando movie site in Big Bend Ranch State Park.
