Do You Save Everything?

Dear Eddie,

You know I love you, right? So don't be offended when I say.... WTH???

Dear Lurleen Followers,

10 months have passed. I really want to start going through Eddie's stuff. For months & months I knew I wasn't quite ready. But now I think the time is right.

I believe in baby steps. So, I picked a small box from the top of the stack in my garage. It was in the section marked "Papers". (God love you, John Pedrow)

Eddie saved everything. By that I mean EVERY THING. I can basically tell you every step he took between 2001 & 2003 based on the contents of this small box.

Why does someone do that?

I don't do that. I throw away everything. I even threw away my tax bill & had to call Cobb County & ask for a duplicate.

My mother threw away everything. I hate that there is basically no record of my childhood but the woman had 5 kids & a career.... I totally get where her head was.

Receipts of every gas stop (ok, I understand the objective but why keep them?).
Boarding passes from airline trips.
Every motorcycle part he ever purchased.

This will be a long process but, no doubt, an interesting one.

He used to say that 1986 was the most interesting year. Judging from the letters, I would agree.

I just had to fall in love with the world's most interesting man...

Stay tuned... you just can't make this stuff up...
