The Bonus Worth Zero Points

If you are a long distance motorcyclist this and future posts will make perfect sense. If you are not, hang in there. Hopefully, understanding is just around the next bend.

These instructions were handed out to about 40 riders in the Minnesota 2010 endurance rally. The goal this year was for the riders to travel approximately 2,010 miles in 48 hours. The starting and ending point was in Lakeville, MN. After the rally several other of Eddie's friends and motorcycle family also took part in this "bonus".

The Bonus Worth Zero Points

Because of your relationship with Eddie, me, TeamStrange or all, I am asking you to participate in an additional "bonus". Participation is voluntary and if, after reading further, you decide you would rather not take part, simply return the packet and all of its contents to me, Bart or Pedrow.

Eddie told me many times that if he should die, he wanted to be cremated and that he would want his ashes spread in as many far off
places that could be managed. And his preference was that this be done in a rally format. What can I say? That's Eddie.

So here we go:

Anywhere You Choose 0 points 24 Hours EJ

Scatter the ashes from the enclosed container any place you choose at anytime during the Minnesota 2010 rally. This can be done at any bonus location or any other location at the rider's discretion. If it feels right, go for it. Or if you are in one of those really bad rally moments & asking yourself, "Why do I do this to myself?" then what better time to share the moment with Eddie?

Time, a short description of the location & your odometer reading (just because) should be noted in the sections below. A photo must be taken that shows the location. The more creative the better & if you can manage to include your bike and/or your rally flag you should.

This bonus sheet and the photo should be returned to Lurleen at your earliest convenience.

Thank you so much for remembering Eddie in this very special way and participating as we continue to celebrate his life.

Enjoy your ride & be safe,
Lurleen
And so they did. Their stories and pictures to come..
