While riding the MN 2010, I was heading toward the
Tekamah, NE bonus. Crossing over the bridge north of
Tekamah, I found out the bridge was a toll bridge. The receipt...terrible. Not enough for a valid
IBA receipt and two old timers manning the cash register.

While trying to obtain a valid receipt (just for practice) I looked up and saw the "Welcome to Decatur, NE" sign. I thought "Eddie and Butt Lite
IIII Paris to Decatur". I spread the ashes while crossing the bridge again. The toll guys made me pay a buck each way.
Sheez..
Thanks Lurleen. I kept the radio off for the next two hours and prayed for Eddie.
Note from Lurleen: This bridge was also a bonus on the MN 1000 in '08. We went there after the
Loess Hills bonus (dirt roads). We stopped for gas in Decatur and discovered that one of the braces holding our fuel cell in place was broken and the tank was about to fall off the bike. We went to a hardware store & Eddie spent about an hour laying on his back in the parking lot trying to "
McGyver" the tank in place so we could finish the rally. After much swearing, sweating & hand waving, he declared it safe to continue. We didn't really bounce back after that along with the worst thunderstorm I've ever seen & only managed a 5
th place finish in the 2-up class. Bummer. But at least the ties matched the bike.
